Bird at Sunrise
It's Christmas in the Village tomorrow. Mr. & Mrs. Santa will be at the library. The local boy scout troupe will supervise games for young kids in between the stacks. Tables are set up in the waiting area between the Village Hall and the Library laden with baskets to be raffled. The Friends of the Library had assembled the baskets on Thursday night and I'd told them they could store them in the empty display cabinet by the front desk where they could be locked up. Tonight as people set up for the festivities tomorrow, I came in also. Didn't want that front display cabinet to be sitting empty with most of the countryside traipsing through tomorrow. I'd already picked out a few books (with the librarian's permission) with titles that would evoke 'winter' to a person from the Northwoods. After the baskets were removed, I placed those books in the display case along w/ Christmas figurines Sister-in-Law Sheila had left w/ me this summer. I didn't overdo it and the display looks really cute. So ... I picked out books with titles like The Frozen North, The Christmas Guest, Ice Station Zebra, Winter Prey, The Spy Who Came In From the Cold, Snow White, etc. I'm curious - what titles would you pick?
