Oak and Glass Display Top End Table

The plow guy came through on Sunday around mid-day.  However snow continued to fall throughout the rest of the day plus the north wind picked up.  This morning much of the snow had been swept from the driveway into two sizeable drifts by the house (where the wind drops it when it hits the mountain of snow accumulated from earlier snow falls).  When the plow guy hadn't returned by mid-day I got out my shovel and made car-sized slots through both drifts.  I needed to get to the County Clerk's office to pick up the absentee ballots for the April election.  By law they are due out tomorrow and our town clerk is on vacation.  While I was at it I picked up a book waiting for me at the library, my mail, some groceries, and lunch.  Next snowstorm is due Thursday.

This end table was made by brother Phil around 2010.  It's oak and the middle shelves are adjustable.  The top has a case for displays.  Phil puzzled over how to give access to the display area.    When he delivered the end table he also gave me a toy suction cup.  The easiest way of removing the top is to push down on the suction cup at one corner and then pull up until you can move the glass out of the way.  Works like a charm.  Currently it holds my collection of spheroid polished rocks.   They are arranged in a bed of fine frac sand brother Russell obtained for me.
