Winter Sunrise

Picked up Friend Nancy early and we had breakfast in Churchtown.  Afterwards we did a little shopping before I dropped her off and went home.  Finished up the last of my Christmas cards.  They are ready for mailing tomorrow.  Got a call from an unknown number.  A lady w/ the kind of drawl you can only acquire if you were born and bred in the south said the mailman had just delivered a package from me - it had her address on it but someone else's name.  She intended to take it back to the post office and send it back but, since it was close to Christmas, she didn't want me wondering what had happened to the package.  I realized what I must have done - sent my brother's Christmas package to his old address.  Since my brother had said he hadn't moved that far away, I asked the lady if she would be OK if I gave her phone number to my brother.  He might be able to drive over and pick up the package from her.  She thought that was a grand idea.  I called Brent and he said he'd give her a call.  I then "butt dialed" my brother Phil and after that the nice lady in Texas again.  (I just can't seem to get the hang of smart phones.)  Apologized to her, said my brother would be calling, and if she wanted to refer to me as "his crazy sister" it would be fine w/ me.  That got her laughing.  Anyway, Brent texted me later that he had his package, I figured out the lady googled my name to get my phone number (smart), and I should maybe just check the address on those last Christmas cards before they go out.

Evelyn went with me to pick up the package. She wanted to see what the old neighborhood looked like and then a stop at DQ on the way back for a candy cane blizzard - her favorite. Gave Evelyn a little break from work.
