My cat loves me

When vermin make it into the house, it is Blitz and Dunder's task to eliminate them.  The cats do, however, like to bring the carcass back to me - maybe to show how clever they are, maybe offering me food, maybe to let me know that they are on the job.  I remember getting ready once and finding a not quite dead offering in one of my shoes.  So when I got up and saw what was in the shoe I had cast off before getting into bed last night, I played out in my head what must have happened overnight.  Blitz may go to sleep w/ me at night and usually be in bed the next morning but in between times she and Dunder are prowling the house.  Last night they had gotten into their toy box under the pew and taken out a blue and orange toy mouse.  Probably they played w/ it before Blitz decided it was time to get back into bed.  She carried it into the bedroom and dropped it in my shoe for safe keeping until later.  Must say, I prefer finding this cloth toy to the real thing.
