Elderberry

Neighbor Anita and I were laughing over how our respective HOA's (Home Owner Associations) hadn't complained about how long the grass in our lawns was getting.  However, when I came back home I did think maybe I should cut it tonight.  First though I needed a pic for the blog.  Whip and I took off in Jormungandr to see what was happening in the back fields.  Got back home just in time for the nightly news so plopped down to listen.  I've got a new theory on why some people continue to idolize former president Trump.  Wanted to listen to the news to see if my theory has any merit.  By the end of the newscast I could hear an almost constant rumble of thunder.  Whip and I went out on the deck to watch the storm develop.  A hummer stopped at a feeder, found it was empty, and flew off to one of the other ones.  I'd made more sugar water earlier in the day so cleaned out the feeder and refilled it.  To do that I walked past my laundry basket.  Oops.  Better bring in the clothes on the line.  As I was doing that could hear the rain hitting the leaves in the nearby woods.  Got back inside w/ the laundry just before the rain reached the house.  No mowing tonight.  Good thing it's a holiday weekend.  The HOA staff is on vacation until Tuesday.

Did your theory have merit? I'm desperate for an explanation.
