Rain Coming

My Fireworks permit was signed and the town clerk has it.  Normally she sends a copy to the Sheriff's office and also to the fire department.  She's a bit on the busy side and asked if I could pick up my copy from her desk so she doesn't need to send it to me and also if I could give a copy to the Fire Department.  Sure.  I don't know who the head of the Fire Deparment is but Anita suggested taking it to the Village Hall and asking them for contact info.   Permits are sent on to the County Sheriff & the Fire Deparment  a) in case anyone complains about my fireworks they won't send a deputy because they can see I have a permit, b) if the area goes into a high fire danger all fireworks permits will be cancelled, and c) if there is damage or accident caused by the fireworks the EMT's and Volunteer Fire Department has a name and number for contact.  Brother Brent (who will be the actual person in charge of fireworks) was a bit antsy.  He's currently in Texas which has drought conditions.  Was it wet enough in the Northwoods?  So for the past month, everytime it rains I text him the amount in my rain gauge.   In fact, might have more rain coming in tonight.

Sounds like it will not be too dry there. Now just need the rain to stop for the weekend!
