A pair of Canadian geese hiding from me

Church went well until the pastor was summing up his sermon.  "I want each of you to say 'I love you' to five people before you leave church today." He announced holding up a hand w/ all five fingers splayed out to emphasize the number.  An inadvertent shudder went through me - those words would be accompanied with hugs.    We stood to sing a hymn and I leaned over to friend Nancy.  "Can you find the car on your own?" I whispered.  She nodded and I left through the back doors.  I didn't know if anyone would follow the pastor's admonition and didn't want to find out.  Nancy might have given me grief for ducking out early and not facing my phobias - however, it took her awhile before she could locate the car.

Ugh. I would have left with you. I don't even like all of the hand shaking that seems to go on. A nice polite conversation is all that is necessary in my opinion.
