Pileated Woodpecker

 I thought I'd seen this woodpecker fly past the windows but I finally found out what it was after.  I left grapes on the vine and it was snacking on them.  Also followed a deer track through the snow.  It came in from the woods, stopped off on the trail to take a chunk out of the pumpkin, came through by the bird feeders and emptied the seeds out of one feeder, then walked off to the apple tree to see if there were any more apples that had fallen outside of the stockade.   I set out a pretty good buffet for the local fauna.
