According to my new gauge we received 2 1/4 inches rain this afternoon. The rain will do my lawn good. My lawn isn't the traditional uniform sod put down on city lots. It's just a 'tamed' version of the tall grasses of the meadow. They are native species (or near native) and dry spells don't usually turn them brown. However, the trusses laying for a month on the ground did kill the grass underneath and the paint buckets cleaned out near the dog run did speckle the grass there white. Some sun, warm temps, and this rain will bring it all back.
