Taking the cut through the woods

I lived in Green Bay, Wisconsin for five years.  It was quite awhile ago and I don't think of it often anymore.  Sunday night while I was clicking through the TV channels I came across a football game.  Knew it was Green Bay even before I saw the green and gold uniforms.   It was impossible to live in Green Bay and not talk football at least once in a day.   The barber who worked two floors down from our first offices usually had tickets to sell so I went to a few games.   I remember a couple of games where we sat as the snow came down (collecting in a little triangle on my cap) and the field officials would periodically remove the snow along each 10 yard line so the players could see where they were.  That was what the field looked like on TV Sunday - all white w/ lines showing only where the yard lines had been cleared.  I sat on the sofa and watched a little of the game.  I was happy to see the Pack was leading and also glad I was in a dry warm house instead of sitting on the cold metal seats the stadium had when I used to go.  Also appreciative that I didn't have a man sitting in front of me who would spew alcohol over everyone whenever the home team made a touchdown.  Good times.

I remember my roommate in college and I were pretty excited that you got tickets for us to go to the game. Thanks again. That was a long time ago.

They still have the metal seats the last time I was there. Complete remodel of everything else to state of art.
