A layer of fog

Mjolnir, the new garage/workshop, had one issue left.  Once the heating season began, it was heating on-peak instead of off-peak. That means it not only was running at the most expensive times but not at all during the weekends.  I contacted JL Electric who had done the wiring on the building but he decided he'd done everything correctly so it must be the heating unit.  That he said was my problem.  We had words.  I next contacted Xcel my electrical provider but they said they just send the off-peak signal, the rest was up to me.  I called the general contractor for suggestions.  He contacted another heating/cooling company and asked them to look at the unit.  However, they called me and said it sounded like an electrical issue to them.  I asked if they could recommend an electrician and they suggested Ziegler Company.  Ziegler was busy but he found time to come out on a Friday afternoon.  He looked at the wiring and said I just needed a relay put in at the main electrical board.  He came back on Monday morning and in a half hour he was done.  Everything has been running correctly since then.  Ziegler, on his own initiative, also put in an override breaker - just in case I ever do want extra heat on-peak.

Glad to hear that someone could figure it out before the deep winter days.
