Ever wonder why the subject of sex is coyly referred to as 'the birds and the bees'?






First of all, 'the dragonflies and damselflies' sounds awkward.  Second, I'm not sure I could explain exactly what's happening in these pictures w/o referencing a textbook.  However, to be perfectly frank, I might need a primer on the mechanism birds use also.
