The Cat
Pretty exciting to see the big cat arrive. We had one on the farm when I was growing up and forgot just how useful those things can be. The driver made short work of clearing the site. Then the loads of sand from the gravel pit just down the hill began to arrive. Unfortunately, as the gravel truck came back again and again, the loaded truck's weight was too much for my driveway. Large sections of it tore apart and became soft. The cat guy and I talked. He'd flatten it back out as best he could so it was drivable. Would wait to do something more permanent until later - after the cement trucks did their thing. They would really do a number on what remained of the driveway bed. All I had to remember in the meantime was to stay in the middle of the driveway except for one spot where I should veer a little to the left.
