Next the trusses were delivered. Indy let me know we had a visitor and I walked out to greet him. It was just the one delivery person and 20-some pre-built trusses for the new garage roof. "Where do you want them?" he asked. I figured right next to the building site might not be a good idea. I told him to put them in a feral spot just on the other side of the driveway. "How are you going to unload them?" I asked. He looks at me seriously - straight in the eyes. "I was told there would be a strong able-bodied person here to help." he replies. Must be a standard joke w/ him and he found a gullible dupe in me. Silence. Then he laughed. "They just roll off the truck. I'll be done in a second." It was marvelously efficient. Untie the load. Loosen the rollers on the trailer bed. Raise the front end and let gravity do the rest. He's done this before - they landed precisely where they should go.
