An interesting news day. The dairy owners let us know ... 

• In order to give the owners an extra hour of sleep, they said we might start milking Group 2 first (which Domingo and I could do on our own) and milk the hospital group afterwards.  Not a problem. 
• They then informed us that Mike and the herdsman would be leaving at 7:30 a.m. to attend a transitional cow seminar this morning.  Also not a problem.  
• Another milker's training class was planned but I didn't have to attend.  It was going to be given in Spanish so if I were to go, they would have to get an interpreter for me.  
• The herdsman gave her resignation so about the beginning of June she would be leaving the dairy. 
• There had been an impromptu tour of the dairy last Tuesday and the owners wanted to let me know how nice the parlor had looked.  I had to tell them the credit went to Mike.  He had decided to steam clean the parlor and I had just stuck around to help him out.

Same kind of news you get standing around the water cooler - only here it's standing behind a cow.
