The grapes are ripening

The first night of league bowling was Wednesday. I'd tried to get in a nap ahead of time but it just didn't happen. I met my teammates - a lady that was kicked off her old team, a lady 6 months pregnant, a lady who brought her young daughter along, and a lady who didn't show up. The team captain called the no-show and found she just forgot but would be there for the second game. OK - we started. Early on I pulled a muscle down the back of my left leg (I finally stopped limping today). I also found out that it was customary in this league to high-five everyone on both teams if you got a strike or a spare. Having somewhat of a touch aversion, it was another little obstacle to overcome. By the end of three games we could leave - into a roiling storm. Arrived home around 10:30 p.m., got 4 hours of sleep, and it was up for work. What have I gotten myself into?

Helps one appreciate the quiet times at home.

Ouch. I didn't realize that this league was in the evening. I wish you luck in hanging in there.
