Hazelnuts

I like putting in a garden. Just don't seem to follow through w/ the commitment. However, putting in trees and shrubs seems to be a nice compromise. Once you put them in there is a minimum of additional work and, once grown, they produce every year. I put in apple, cherry, and plum trees in the stockade. I also put in grape vines and hazelnut shrubs.




This is the first year, I found nuts on my little shrubs. The
pictures of blossoms this spring and ripening nuts this summer are from the wild hazelnuts in the woods. I'm pretty happy though that soon I'll have my own stash just outside my door.
