The theme of the pastor's sermon today was light vs. darkness (Mark 15). As his talk went on, the lights progressively dimmed until, at the end, the congregation sat in darkness. I usually approve of visual aids w/ a talk but maybe not this one. To people like my friend Nancy, a nurse who leaves home at 3 to go to work for 12 hours so is perpetually in a state of needing more sleep; to me, who can fall asleep anywhere, anytime; ... well ... turning down the lights during a sermon may not have been the wisest decision.

This was one "take away" benefit I always enjoyed from IBM meetings ... feeling rested & refreshed.
