A picture from my neighbor, Doug Dearhamer. The last election for the year is over. Over 1/3 of the registered voters came for an election which usually attracts very few people. Of course, this election had a lot of promotion. The challenger for the town chairmanship sent campaign letters to everyone in the town (well, I didn't get one) and placed picture "vote for me" ads in the paper for the last couple of weeks. It worked great because lots of people came to vote - though not necessarily for the challenger. We keep our incumbent town chairman for another two years.
