When hurricane Katrina blew through New Orleans, the far right extremists claimed it was God's retribution on the U.S. for sexual immorality / abortions. I was therefore curious to find out what they thought of hurricane Isaac possibly hitting Tampa during the GOP convention. So far, their "reasoning" has been it's an Obama conspiracy against the Republican party (guess that would be more palatable to them than it's a possible impact of Global Warming.) If they are therefore claiming that President Obama can control the weather, it seems our president has a lot more skills than he's been given credit for. Saturday, August 25, 2012

Sun. In case anyone is wondering how the lone relative is fairing in the sunshine state; here's an update. 4pm still waiting for the wind and rain. very cloudy. Awnings are all down(a 5 min job took 1 1/2 hours). All schools are closed Mon & govt offices. So far we don't have to leave. What fun sitting in a dark house. The worst for my area is to hit during the night and Mon am. JVM

Don't think the global warning argument would hold up. According to the USA Today we have had fewer hurricanes to hit the last couple of years. So maybe we are heading into global cooling.

If BO can control the weather, I would guess he has just lost LA, AL, MS,AR, and perhaps TN,& KY votes. Maybe Rommey has a chance after all. JVM
