Pansky eggs

The library display for this month is Pansky eggs (I call them Ukrainian eggs). One of the ladies in the area makes them and in the display she explains the process and significance of the designs in this folk art. Very beautiful and unique.

You can't tell from looking at the colored easter eggs, but I tried my hand at making them Pansky by using a white crayon to draw designs before dying them.

I think she would make a good, creative quilter with designs. JVM

Hi I am wanting to find someone who can paint pansy eggs, wondering if this person is in Auckland? Or contact details for her if possible. Thanks.
