Frogs singing in Gorgeous Gorge

Sat in the sun at the rim of Gorgeous Gorge this afternoon.  Everything was suddenly quiet when Indy and I first arrived but gradually the frogs started popping out on top of the water to sing.  Then the red-winged blackbirds that had scattered upon seeing us came back and took up their singing positions in the trees and cattails.  The sound was becoming uncomfortably loud.  Didn't seem to bother a tree swallow who swooped down the length of the gorge to get a sip of water on the fly.   It was a busy day for me but what I'll remember most is sitting at the Gorge and listening to spring.
