Q - Bracket fungi

I wake up to 3 alarms - just to make sure that at 3:30 a.m. I get out of bed.  This morning one of them failed.  That alarm clock has been having problems - the radio no longer plays louder than a hush and it's failed to go off before.  It would cost more to try and fix it than buy a new one.  It'll have to go.  While I hate becoming part of a "throw away" society, I'm pretty sure I can justify to myself getting rid of it.  I've had it since I was in college.  On the other hand, maybe now it's an antique?

If it still worked and had something valuable in it or on it, then it would be an antique.
Since it doesn't work (and made out of plastic?) it's now considered junk. Pitch it!
