Growing up, I didn't believe in Santa Claus. Oh, we kids were told the stories but Mom said she didn't want us to think presents came from some old bearded man. However, Grandpa told me that cows would talk at midnight on Christmas eve. So, I went to bed planning on waking in time to go to the barn to listen to the cows. But, just like children that plan on waking to see Santa and his sleigh, I always slept through the night until morning. Now that the dairy has a 3rd shift that starts at 9 pm and ends at 1 am, I'm tempted to go in and help out on Christmas eve...just in case.

Dad always mentioned that, too. :-)
