I got a call from an irate taxpayer. He owns property in the township but doesn't live here. He was upset about a couple of things, such as "Why didn't any of the town board live here?" He said they all had village addresses. I explained that, in this state, rural areas are broken into "towns" which are roughly 6 x 6 miles. However, the nearest post office is in the village. All of the board live in our "town" but
their mail is delivered out of the village. Just one of those differences between rural living and the "Big City".
