Birds were squabbling in the elderberry bush as I hung up the first load of clothes on the line this morning. I watched for a second and realized they were cedar waxwings. I saw them often when I first came back to the Northwoods but hadn't seen them for the last few years. They seem to really like elderberries. Now that the bush between Haven and Mjolnir is producing berries, maybe I'll get to see them more often.
