Happy Easter
The rabbits were out on the lawn before dawn. Didn't see any eggs. Just the remains of lettuce I'd left for them last night. I did get some colored eggs as a gift from Neighbor Anita who had a family egg coloring party. Temps are above freezing but it started snowing. As soon as the flakes hit the ground they melt. While Whip doesn't like rain, she's OK w/ snow like this (not blowing in her face and not too cold on her feet). We walked out on our constitutional and then back. Usually after our constitutional I feed the birds so Whip has gotten into the habit of checking out the meadow until I go back inside. Today I'm out of seed and planned to wait to feed them until noon when I got back from errands (one of which was to pick up seed). I stood by the front door and whistled for Whip to come. I heard the jingle of the metal tags on her color and suddenly saw a streak of black headed down the driveway. What in the world? I yelled frantically and after a few moments she stopped, looked over her shoulder, and joyfully raced back to me. I realized she had heard me whistle, thought we were walking out again, and wanted to catch up w/ me. Kinda cute if it wasn't that I think what she thought was me at the end of the driveway was the garbage can I'd set out.
