It was silent tonight. Not just quiet but absolutely silent. No leaves rustling in the breeze because there are no leaves yet. No background insect noise - they are waiting for things to warm up. No birds - assume they are huddled together in trees staying warm. No road noises - the ski hill closes down early on Sunday night and not much else going on this time of year. No overhead jet noises - the Northwoods aren't on an airway to anywhere. I stopped for a moment to soak it in. Not many people can actually experience complete silence like this. I heard a raspberry blown through deer lips off to the west. I'm guessing his noise of disdain is because I interrupted his reverie too.

This would be a very difficult puzzle to put together, I think.
