Barn Quilt

The beginning of March is the 'meteorological beginning of spring' as the local weatherman is fond of saying.  While spring doesn't really begin for another couple of weeks, the day was in the 40's, some sun, and windy.  I could easily step over the small mound of snow remaining between the front door and the clothesline.  A good day to start hanging out clothes on the line.  Windy, though, is an understatement.  My biggest concern, as I struggled to pin clothes to the line against what felt like a gale force,  was having my knickers ending up on the roof.  It would take a ladder to get up there and, because of the new solar array, motorists were looking over this direction.   I finished the last of the jigsaw puzzles that I cached for my winter consumption.  Should we get another snowstorm, I can always pick one up at the puzzle exchange at the library.   The gift card that got me through the winter w/ free lattes has been used up.  (Not to worry - still have two more gift cards to get me thru the month.)   Plus I was able to procure another present to give next Christmas!  Guess it's a good thing to be ahead of the season.
