Deer Food Dispenser

 Excerpts from the Sheriff's Report:

8:06 a.m. - Report of a two-car accident.  First car was waiting at stop sign for another car.  Driver of the second car said her infant was screaming in the back seat.  She turned briefly to tend to child and rear-ended first car.  Citation issued to second car for inattentive driving.

11:17 a.m. - Caller reports there is a white Chevy van in her yard.  Resident from a couple properties away sells cars.  He bought a vehicle at an auction and the tow company delivered to the wrong address.  He is working on getting it removed.

1:01 p.m. - Complainant reporting individual drove past her house, reversed, and drove past the other way.  Individual also approached a vehicle belonging to her family at Walmart and spoke to them.  Complainant was informed anyone can drive on the road and approach who they want in public as long as it is civil.

1:06 a.m. - Officer observed vehicle tracks of a car driving disorderly and observed car doing donuts in the church parking lot with people seated on the door panel of the vehicle hanging onto the roof rack.  Vehicle was stopped and driver admitted to driving recklessly.  Officer explained the consequences if one of his friends fell off an/or got run over.  Driver will bring proof of current insurance tomorrow or will be emailed a ticket.

3:30 p.m. - Caller reports cattle on roadway.  As they drove by the cattle went into the ditch.  Deputy contacted animal owner who states his cattle are inside the fence eating on a hay bale.  Deputy notes that the cattle are in the field now but the fence is down and covered with snow.  Cattle owner states he's aware the fence is low but "The cows still aren't outside the fence."  He says his neighbor is mad at him and keeps calling the sheriff's office.

3:53 p.m. - Caller reports there is a male walking in the hallway of the apartment building with no pants on.  Officer made contact with male who is sleeping in his bedroom fully dressed.  He stated that his pants fell down and he was trying to pull them up.

4:53 p.m. - Caller at Dairy Queen reports a male passed out in a vehicle in the drive through.  Officer spoke with driver who said he had been up all day and is just tired.  No signs of impairment.

5:17 p.m. - Collegetown Police requesting to check location for a vehicle.  License plate registered to vehicle was on another vehicle that was involved in a car accident.  Vehicle in question was not at the address.

7:59 p.m. - Caller reports their mother was scammed.  Complainant reported she was contacted by someone claiming to be her grandson who said he was arrested in Minnesota and needed $16,000 for bond and attorney fees.  Complainant reports a vehicle drove to her residence where she turned over the money.  She later spoke with her grandson who advised he was not arrested and had not requested money from her.
