Barn Quilt

Librarian Colby said she's leaving soon. This job doesn't pay health benefits and she can't manage them on her own.  She found another librarian job in Casinoland which is about an hour away from here.  In the meantime much of the backlog of donated books has been eliminated.  Tonight she gave me a list of books which haven't been checked out in over ten years.  I pulled them off the shelves while she took them out of our system.  I asked if they would all be going into the sale room but she said some she'd be sending to another location.  So I bought a book on How to Clean Everything as soon as she removed it from our records.  I left five minutes early (no one was at the library except for Colby) and went to the Town Board Meeting.  Interesting to hear what was going on in the town ... until they got to roads.  The guys can wax eloquent on gravel and road construction methods for a very long time.  I pulled out my phone and began playing a game (sound off).  That got their attention.  Was I recording and were they going to see themselves on YouTube?  "No", I replied, "This is way too boring for that."  Might be that's why the promised help to set up the room for the election started to evaporate after the meeting ended.  Fortunately the clerk and treasurer were more than happy to help.  Heavy work done, I'll go down before the election and do the final paperwork setup.
