Cat house?

Brent packed up and left after breakfast.  He and Phil did a lot of work while they were staying here.  The new room divider is perfect: I can see through it to the meadow when I'm sitting at my desk, plenty of light coming through it, great place to put the crystal I've had in my closet since I moved here.   Having fun moving things around until I get things in a place that I like.  Brent made a stand for a pestle my grandparents found out in the Arizona desert so it can also be displayed on the divider instead of sitting on the pew where it held down old newspapers.  Besides installing the new motion detector light and changing a water filter, Phil helped me lift the concrete top to the sewer when he came in the spring and Brent helped me lift it off again before he left.  The twice yearly cleaning of the sewer filter is completed.   They installed the second 'Jormungandr' decal on the UTV and a 'Svadilfari' decal on the lawnmower.  They got artistic and hung a birdhouse from a birch branch.  They cut the little trees starting up in the meadow and dug out rocks that work their way up each spring into the paths.  The broke down and disposed of the old aquarium.  Brent rearranged my garage.   He also made a triple-berry pie from blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries they'd picked.  Phil worked on reducing the number of rats that have taken up residence under the deck.  The list of their activities goes on and on.  I wanted them to enjoy themselves while they were here.  After thinking about all of the stuff they did, I can see why they were looking forward to getting home - and some rest.

Thanks for letting us spend some time together. Each summer is a special time and don't take it for granted. Also beside the work projects there are those many moments of jokes (sometimes on one another) and just plain fun conversation.
