Weather has turned spring-like again so the dog and I went for a walk. Found a four-point shed just off the trail. Surprising since bucks lose them around February I thought. I used this trail all winter and never saw an antler lying there. The antler base was bright white and it showed no signs of rodent damage. Wonder if the abnormally mild winter meant no stress on the bucks so they retained their antlers longer?
Heard yesterday that my cousin Steve passed away. This is a picture of Steve, his wife Shirley, and the plane he flew.
