Barn Quilt

Planning Commission meeting was last night.  It got moved around because of the election.  So Mark had said he couldn't make it - he would be on his way to Chicago.  Lorna wasn't sure she could make it either - but she would try.  Clarence never makes it.  If it was just Roger, Dave, and I we wouldn't have a quorum.  Fortunately Mark decided not to go to Chicago but instead work on his car so a quick call to remind him of the meeting and we had the necessary number of people.  It was suppose to be a quick meeting because Dave had an informational meeting to attend.  However, once we got together, Dave said he would attend the info meeting in another city being held in a couple of days.   Only one building permit to consider on Fetke Road.  I had driven over earlier to check out the site.  Nice view - right on the edge of a deep drop into a swamp.  The group verified the building (a new garage) would be far enough from the lot line and the road.  If it slid off the precipice behind it, that wasn't our concern.    Since we didn't have to have a short meeting, we discussed an ordinance on road ban weight limits.  I'd found an ordinance on-line that another town in the state had written and we decided to change the names in it and make it ours.  Never write a new ordinance when you can plagerize someone else's.
