There are three real joys that I can think of that those people who live in warm climes (so don't suffer a little cold) never get to appreciate. The first is cashmere sweaters. I used to think they were just what the cool girls at highschool wore (always in pink) but cashmere sweaters are easy to afford now and are wonderfully soft. Would guess cashmere isn't a big sell in Florida though. The second is soaking in the bathtub. Yes, I do that in the summer too, but the real reason I put a window in my bathroom was so I could lay in a tub of hot water and look out at the snow coming down. Delicious. The third thing is electric blankets. Turn the blanket on an hour before bedtime and and the bed is marvelously cozy by the time you are ready for sleep. Those poor people who don't live where it gets cold enough to see your breath or to cause your cheeks to tingle, well, can only dream of how blissful it feels to warm up.
