Bison
My niece called it an eclectic kind of day. We did a little Christmas shopping first. Then stopped at a bison farm where an 82 year old man took us on a truck ride into their pasture and gave us a talk about the herd. Then it was on to a winery. This one allows you to taste five wines of your choice so you can decide if it's a bottle you would like to purchase. I have given up on trying to like the taste of the stuff so talked w/ the sales person in the front room about where they got their wine grapes, startup costs, and expansion ideas. I thought of it as a kind of research on the people in the town that are opening a winery. Stopped off at a pizza parlor for lunch before going to two more shops. Turned out we only got to one shop since the other had closed 11 minutes before we got there. Time to drive home but we took a circuitous route to check out the neighborhood. What else could you want from a bright autumn Saturday - get out and about, do a little shopping, have an adventure.
