Maple Leaves

At the beginning of September I put in an Amazon order for a water filter and some specialized sandpaper for Phil.  For the entire month of September it just sat there stating "Will send an estimated delivery date later".   Phil urged me to cancel the order but I stubbornly didn't.  At the beginning of October I finally did cancel it and resubmitted it.  Again it sat for a week w/ nothing happening.  I called Amazon and the rep said he didn't know why it wasn't moving.  He suggested he cancel it and I resubmit.  Did that and added a few more items to the order.  Still it sat for another week w/ nothing happening - not even an estimated delivery.  So I cancelled it again.  This time Amazon wouldn't let me.  It said it was just about to send the items and I couldn't cancel.  The message continued that if I no longer wanted the items to reject the order when it came or return it.   The next day Amazon was posting a expected delivery date by the end of the week.  Got the box from Amazon today.  I don't have Prime so wondered if that had something to do w/ it.  I was telling a friend who does have Prime all this and she said that she also has been having issues w/ receiving Amazon orders in a timely manner.  Of course, in her case, it's a matter of not arriving within two or three days.
