Looking down Eke Road

Zoomed w/ friends today.  We started doing this during Covid and have kept it up.  We learned that it's easier to have a list of talking points.  Keeps us away from talking about the dreaded 'ills and spills' the older set discusses.  Plus, because we are part of the older set, it reminds us of stuff that's happened since the last time we talked.  Today the subjects included horror movies, getting vaccine shots (bordering on medical but more interesting), and friend Kathy's trials in using a sewing machine to hem her jeans (that one had us laughing out loud).  We also discussed whom we thought the most repulsive living American politician was (we didn't come to an agreement mostly because there were so many to choose w/ their own unique brand of idiocy), Monica Lewinsky who made the news for her campaign against bullying (reminded me of Kim Kardashian and how she came to 'fame'), and deviated septums (turns out dentist x-rays can show if you have one).  These talking points lead to other discussions and we easily fill up the time allotted by Zoom.  We should get our own show like the ladies on 'The View' (or at least post it to YouTube.)
