Trees on the edge of the Gorge

Another rainy and drizzly day and more stuff off the KPA list.  Phil hung my three kites in Sleipnir.  Much like my winter jigsaw fever, I also get a spring kite flying fever when the snow goes off the hayfield.  Big cup hooks were all that were required.  There was some discussion about hanging them from the ceiling but eventually that was rejected.  Next it was the Brome Grass Seed Bag picture that I have hanging over the mantle.  I'd just used nails to hang it and Phil replaced those w/ real picture hanger nails which go in at an angle and less likely to fail sending the picture crashing to the floor.  Behind that picture but lower down, he also put in a second set of picture hangers.  Had thought of hanging the Christmas Jewel Tree in the same place as the Brome Grass picture over the mantle during the Christmas season.  On second thought though the thing weighs 60 lbs and I'm pretty sure it would require fastners that went into the studs.  I'll set it on the mantle.  The lower picture holders will keep the Tree picture from falling forward  (always a possibility when one has cats).   I can leave them in place all year long since the Grass picture covers them.  Am running out of KPA items fast.  Hope Sheila's returning soon.
