Phil cleaning Right-of-Way

Another item on the KPA list was cleaning out the Right of Way.  It's a favorite walking trail since it goes through the heart of the swamp.  Last year's ice storm brought down enough trees to make it impassable.  Brother Phil ran the electric chain saw and I had the clippers.   It's now walkable from the logging trail to the fenceline I share w/ Neighbor Blake.  A spring runs next to this section of the old right-of-way.  For the first time in my life it isn't running.  Water pooled in low areas and some flat gravel spots looked moist but it wasn't it's usual contiguous stream of water.  My grandparents would comment on how that spring never ran dry.  Remember as a youngster Dad had asked me to walk out there.  It was a dry summer that year and he had young stock in that field.   The only water source for them was the spring.    I was able to report back not only was there plenty of water but I had found cattle tracks next to the spring so I knew they were using it.
