Eastern Phoebe

9:30 a.m. and I was happy w/ my progress so far for the day.  The dog and I had our short morning constitutional through thick fog.  Saturday is 'sheet washing day' and they were already washed/dried/folded (put them in the dryer instead of the clothesline because of the fog).    Got to thinking that Autumn is only 8 days away so I might put these microfibre sheets away and bring out the flannel sheets along w/ the winter bedspread.  I'd manuvered through the heavy fog into the village - where the fog stopped abruptly at the outskirts -  to check my post office box.  My new passport arrived!  That took only 2 months - even with the delay of asking for a signed deposition of why my old passport was chewed up.  Also got my bill from Kramer Well Drilling for fixing my water problem last week - cheaper than I figured.  Picked up a latte and drove over to the bank to cash the check from the town for attending Planning Commission Meetings.   Drove to the edge of town and back into that eerie bank of thick fog to once again slowly make my way back home.  Have a batch of towels in the wash machine now.  Looks like the sun is burning off the fog so those I'll hang up on the line.   Also, this little bird was perching on a shepherd's hook this morning.  Could be a Kingbird but looked more like an Eastern Phoebe to me - though I didn't notice the typical tail bobbing.  Anyway, if it is an Eastern Phoebe it will be a new species for my list.
