Twilight after the Storm

Must have been a banner year for crickets because lately I see four or five daily scurring around on the floor.  Other years I'd find three total for the entire season and the cats would take care of those.  All that remained would be tiny dismembered back legs.  Maybe there are so many this year the cats play w/ all of them and never make a kill.  Anyway, I sat wondering if having crickets coming into the house is like being infested with cockroaches.   Instantly the Truth Seeker organization flashed in my mind.  Yesterday I was reminded that the local chapter of Truth Seekers was hosting a public talk on Election Integrity that night.  I'd meant to go since I have some background in the election process.  I didn't have high expectations since I'd run into the Truth Seeker organization last year.  At that time they had put out church pamphlets about where each candidate stood on an issue.  Even at a glance it was easy to see it was skewed to make Republican candidates sound more religious.  I found out the talk last night was to be by a mathematition whom I've read about.  He's a 2020 election denier whose statements have been labeled "pants on fire" false by some fact checking websites.  Poll workers have been dealing w/ the aftermath of this sort of crap ever since even though no fraud has been found.  Dominican won a $700,000,000 lawsuit w/ Fox News over their false reporting of fraud and there are still more lawsuits against others who actually did try to subvert election results.   I know my limitations.  I wouldn't be able to sit quietly listening to that bunch of nonsense.  You can see how my mind linked the Truth Seeker organization to cockroaches though.
