Hazy Sunset

I was restless tonight.  Storms were coming and I could feel it.  Stood out on the deck.  Everything was black except for one solar light I have underneath the deck's overhang.  Will have to remember to put more of them out before guests come that don't know where the edge of the deck is.  The rising wind felt good after a warm day.  A few fireflies were able to keep their footing in the tall grasses and send out coded messages but nothing else was about.  Nothing I could see anyway.  Walked to the end of the deck and looked down the driveway.  County hasn't sent out any storm watchers either.    Then the lightening began to flick between clouds.  I felt a sudden temperature drop.  Storms were getting closer.  Could hear Dunder scratching on the glass back door.  If I was outside, he wanted out too.  Time to go inside and to bed..  Hopefully, the storms will drop some rain.  Going to be a lot of fireworks shot off this weekend and I'd just as soon have everything lush and green (and non-flammable) for the festivities.
