Lilacs
I don't know why I would want to watch more TV. Before a video clip this morning the newscaster warned "some may find this disturbing". The newscaster must not be aware the stuff shown in the movies (though play-acting) is way more graphic than what makes it to national news. Then there are the ads for medicene/medical procedures. One medicene helps stop a tremor and it shows a man afflicted before now packing away delicate china. Each time I scream at the man on TV to wrap the china first! A series of Botox ads show a person concerned about their looks before the treatment and then happily discussing how much better they feel about themselves afterward. I swear I can't tell the diff in their looks - I think they were given a placebo. I don't know why I would presume to tell my doc that I need medicene I saw advertised anyway. A friend said Lume ads make her worry that she smells. That was an eye-opener. Ads aren't meant to present new products nor are they to show how the product can make your life better. Turns out ads are to make you feel guilty! Guilty that you aren't feeding your pet good food. Your kids aren't dressed fashionably. You aren't adequately insured. Your parents are struggling because you didn't get them leaf guards on their gutters. Your lawn (gasp) is being invaded because you aren't taking care of it. Of course I'm not going to cut TV out of my life. Certainly not before tonight when PBS will air the latest Shakespeare in the Park play Richard III. (Some violence but no ads.)

I think each marketing ploy should be followed by a counter point ad , kind of an ad debate on tv.
