Fertilizing w/ Potash

After standing and talking to neighbor Blake for awhile yesterday, he turned to go back to his 4-wheeler and I turned to go inside.  That's when I realized my knee had seized up and I had a sudden pain shoot down the other leg.  Winter inactivity was catching up w/ me.  Sat down until the pain had subsided and the knee loosened up.  Then Whip and I went on a walk.  Today, I tried to never stay in one position for too long.  Not easy during library duty tonight.   Tuesday the 6th graders from the school toured the library and those w/ signed parental permits could get a library card.  That explained the girl who returned some books tonight but seemed unsure of the whole procedure.  I said I'd check her books back in while she could look for some new ones if she wanted.  She beamed, got two more books, and told me she was reading through one a day.  When I returned her books back to the Young Adults section I could see gaping holes on the shelves for graphic novels.  They are the most popular type of books of that age group.  There were also a few movies w/ a new letter "R" prominent on their spine.  The librarian said one of the kids who had just received a library card had checked out a movie that their parent had complained about.  The librarian said we might not allow juveniles to check out "R" rated movies but she had no idea of how to keep a pre-teen from checking out a book that had foul language, sexual situations, or violence described.  I thought back to when I was that age and got my library card.  I read a lot of science fiction (May the 4th be w/ you), started working my way through the list of books suggested for college bound students, and everything in the non-fiction physics/astronomy section.  What a nerd.
