The first time this year that I've heard a dawn chorus! Each spring week gradually adds another harmony to the song as different waves of birds arrive. This morning though it was a full-blown chorus of rejoicing at sunrise. Yes, I am aware if I was a bird the song's translation is "This is my territory stay away - unless you're a female that wants to get it on." (Sorry, my venacular is stuck in the 70's.) The roofing crew arrived at 7 a.m. The cats have realized that the overhead noises aren't imminent danger though, just in case, have curled up on the desk top near me. For our mid-morning break, the dog and I put out the garden pole by Mjolnir and the dancing rabbit plaque on the electrical board. Will wait on the rest of the outside knicknacks until the roof work is completed. Tonight, before they left, the roofers moved the furniture back on the deck. The dog and I sat out watching sunset and listening to the dusk chorus. To me it sounds like they are singing Everything is Beautiful but it might just be He Don't Love You Like I Love You or Everybody Was Kung Fu Fighting. (or maybe Disco Duck or Fly, Robin, Fly?)
