Mallard

This morning I had breakfast w/ friend Nancy.  Drove home through the hills.  Hadn't been that way for awhile since the snowstorms had made parts of the route tricky.  This time the only snow was in sheltered places or where it had piled up so deep it takes longer than a week of warm temps to melt it.    Washed two loads of sheets and let them flap dry on the clothes line. Before the weather falls back to normal for April, decided to take another drive w/ the moon roof open, wind whipping my hair, and an arm hanging out the side window.  Picked up the mail, drove over to Grandpa's for a frozen pizza for tomorrows lunch and stopped by Subway to get a wrap for today.  My mind must have been on the audio book I was listening to as I drove back into the driveway.  Mentally I rememered to park next to Mjolnir but wondered why I didn't park in the garage.  Duh!  I then realized what I was seeing.  While I was gone that short time, the construction dumpster had been picked up and taken away so the entrance to the garage was now clear.  Glad to see it gone but still parked back by Mjolnir.  Wanted to double check the ground around the dumpster for nails first.  All I found was the dead squirrel  ... and a tick.
