Welcome Spring

Stayed home all weekend.  The plow guy had come early on Friday to plow the drive.   However, the high winds for the rest of that day were enough to fill up the driveway w/ snow by nightfall.  Saturday was no better as I watched little tornados of snow form and run across the open fields.  Good thing I had nowhere I had to be.    The dog and I walked the drive and I scrutinized if I could get the car through. Didn't want to try it.    Sunday the sun came out, the winds died down, and the temps rose above freezing.  I looked out on the drive again but couldn't tell if the more moderate weather was making much of an impression on the snowpack.  In the afternoon Whip started barking.  It was the plow guy!  Maybe he had somewhere to be over the weekend or maybe he was waiting for the winds to finally abate.   After he'd finished Whip and I went out to check it out.  I can feel a building tension  - as if the land is impatient for Spring to come too.  Maybe that will be the last plow of the season?  Next snowstorm is forecast for Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday.  Maybe not.
