Yggdrasil

Brought my Christmas tree in the house and decorated it.  I'm following the customs from my childhood - Christmas trees were never brought into the house until a week before Christmas.  Mom didn't want a bunch of fallen needles in the house but also it made for a build up toward the big event.  I don't bring my tree in because it's been sitting out in Mjolnir at 45 degrees.  Being in a warmer house will be a bit confusing for this little live tree.  I'll return it to Mjolnir's cooler temps in about a week.  Just like last year's tree, this one is planted in a bucket, is a black spruce, and is named Yggdrasil.  Yggdrasil is the central sacred tree of Norse mythology and another name I couldn't remember.  Decided it was a good name to give each live tree I used for Christmas:  an easy way to not only memorize the name and also not forget it.   Last year's Yggdrasil is planted out near the road.  Will plant this one nearby it next May.
