Uncle Rodney died from Covid. He loved to travel, to camp, and to take pictures. I remember as a child I would see him lean over a precipice to get a good shot. (Of course I've always been afraid of heights so maybe it wasn't all that close to the edge.) He enjoyed life from 4-wheeling through the desert to cutting up trees here in the Northwoods. I stopped by this spring after he and Aunt Ruth had driven up from Arizona. He sat down long enough to relate some of their adventures over the winter and then he was off. He'd finished mowing his lawn but had three other people's lawns to do. I know he is now w/ God ... just wish we'd had him a little bit longer.

This is a great picture.
It is how I will always remember him (smiling).
He will be sorely missed.
So sudden. Evelyn and I visited with Rodney and Ruth in July. Still sharp and active. Was fun to go fishing with him on the Flambeau. Liked to stop at their place in Madison and few times in AZ. Hard to believe he's gone but will see him again someday.
Every time I saw Uncle Rodney, he had a smile on his face just like this picture. I always thought he was a very kind man.
